Only the conversions you choose

No all-in-one NFKC. Letter width, halfwidth katakana, kana type, spaces and line breaks are separate choices, so names, addresses and product codes are not changed by accident.

Find invisible characters

Zero-width spaces, BOMs, control and bidirectional characters and unusual spaces are listed with their line and column. Removing them is your choice.

Your text stays as it is

The input is never modified. Compare before and after side by side, then copy or save the result.

How to use it

  1. Paste the text, or open a text file.
  2. Press “Normalize” and turn on only what you want. Each option shows how many places it would change.
  3. Check the before/after comparison and the special characters found.
  4. Copy the result or save it as TXT.

FAQ

Why not just apply NFKC?

NFKC rewrites far more than full-width letters and halfwidth katakana: ① becomes 1, ㈱ becomes (株), and so on. Names, product names and codes can change without notice, so this tool lets you pick each conversion.

When should halfwidth katakana stay halfwidth?

Some data needs it, such as bank transfer account names and some core business systems. Check what the receiving system expects first.

Can NFC change kanji?

Compatibility kanji such as 塚 (U+FA10) become their unified form under NFC. Names and places sometimes rely on the distinction, so the tool warns when such characters are present. Ideographic variation selectors (IVS) are kept.

Can it fix mojibake?

Mojibake Fixer repairs garbled text. This tool only finds characters such as 「」 and shows where they are; it never guesses.
